Voting for a New Rector

Dear Sir or Madam,

On 27 May 2020 the Senate and the University Council will sit in joint session to vote for the new rector of the University of Freiburg. Prof. Dr. Dr. Andreas Barner, chair of the University Council as well as of the Selection Committee which consists of seven members from each of the electoral bodies will announce the result at the subsequent

press conference on 27 May 2020, 6.30 p.m.
in seminar room 2121 (1^st floor), Kollegiengebäude II,
Platz der Alten Synagoge 1, 79098 Freiburg.

In the event that the vote goes in favor of a candidate, the designated rector will be introduced at the press conference and receive the congratulations of the incumbent rector Prof. Dr. Hans-Jochen Schiewer.

We would be delighted if you could attend. Please note that the start of the press conference may be delayed if the session overruns. Please also note that attendees must wear a face mask covering their mouth and nose the entire time they are in the building and maintain the necessary minimum distance of one and a half meters to others.
