Invisible forces
The physicist Horst Fischer seeks to prove the existence of dark matter
Freiburg, Jan 03, 2018
It is invisible to the telescopic eye, but indispensible for the movement and cohesion of galaxies. According to cosmological calculations, dark matter makes up about 25 percent of the universe. Researchers around the world have been puzzling over the nature of dark matter particles since the 1930s. The physicist Prof. Dr. Horst Fischer from the University of Freiburg is looking to prove the existence of so-called axions and thus of dark matter with experiments at the large research facility CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.
