Dennis Wolf of the University Heart Center Freiburg – Bad Krozingen receives Starting Grant from the European Research Council

Freiburg, Sep 10, 2019

Until now, heart attacks and stroke have generally been seen as the result of passive fatty deposits in arterial blood vessels. However latest research indicates that chronic inflammatory processes and the immune system play an important role. In order to cast more light on this, Dr. Dennis Wolf, physician scientist at the Department of Cardiology and Angiology I of the University Heart Center Freiburg – Bad Krozingen (UHZ), is receiving a Starting Grant of 1.5 million euros from the European Union’s European Research Council (ERC).
