The Rector’s Christmas Message

Because of the corona pandemic, 2020 brought massive burdens and disappointments for all of us – yet at the same time, the University of Freiburg has shown how flexible it is and what it can deliver even in times of crisis: in her Christmas message, Rector Prof. Dr. Kerstin Krieglstein thanks the entire university community for its dedication in difficult times, and calls for us to continue to support national and regional measures to contain the pandemic. She looks forward to the coming year with optimism, seeing in the crisis also an opportunity – an opportunity for greater sustainability, climate protection and inclusion. The Rector wishes every member and friend of the University of Freiburg a peaceful festive season and a Happy New Year.
