Knot theory – vivid and entertaining

Vivid, easy to understand and enthusiastically presented: “Why (k)not knots?“ is the name of the lecture by Prof. Louis H. Kauffman from the University of Chicago, IL, USA. He is one of the world’s leading mathematicians in the area of knot theory and is well known for his publicly appealing lectures. Kauffman will provide an introduction and a cross section of the problematics of modern knot theory at the intersection of physics, mathematics and biology. After his lecture, there will be opportunity for an informal chat with him.
