Heroism and accountability
Freiburg, May 14, 2019
What does “heroic leadership” mean? What is the relationship between heroism and leadership? And what responsibility do uninvolved people assume in the event of assaults, the so-called spectator effect? The US-American psychologist Prof. Dr. Scott T. Allison from the University of Richmond in Virginia, USA, will explore these and other questions in his lecture “The Psychology of Heroism and Heroic Transformation.” Allison deals with the topics of heroes, heroism and leadership and has published numerous articles in this field of research. One of his approaches is to use hero concepts for practical psychological purposes, for example to develop leadership potential.
