Fending off cyberattacks
Freiburg, Oct 10, 2017
The number of attacks on computer networks has increased dramatically in the past few years, making the question about how government protective measures can be developed even more critical. With this in mind, experts will discuss cyberoperations such as the so-called hack back. The lecture “Government network cooperation for fending off severe cyberattacks” by Martin Schallbruch, Department Head emeritus and Deputy Director for the Digital Society Institute at the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin, will discuss the reasons for hack back, its associated legal issues and possible solutions. The lecture is a part of a lecture series for the project SERIOR and the European Lectures on Security and Society at the Center for Security and Society at the University of Freiburg.
