European Research Council Celebrates 10 Years
Freiburg, Oct 30, 2017
The European Research Council (ERC) is a European Union body for funding of excellent individual and fundamental research. In addition, it awards ERC Grants for high-risk research projects that have the potential to yield groundbreaking findings. To mark the 10-year anniversary of the organization, the University of Freiburg is holding a panel discussion with Freiburg researchers who have received a grant and Janka Mátrai, scientific adviser of the ERC. The discussion will be moderated by Heike Schmoll, education journalist for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
A series in the University of Freiburg’s online magazine provides an inside look at Freiburg projects supported by a grant from the ERC.
