Drunkards, wax hands, secret corners
Freiburg, Jul 11, 2017
The Freiburg museums throw open their doors for museum night on 22 July 2017 under the motto “eternal.” The Uniseum will be one of them, telling the many sides to the University’s history. The guided tour “For drunkards and whipping-boys” starts at 7pm in the University prison, which was used to detain students under arrest until the early 20th century. Visitors can discover the secrets of Kollegiengebäude I on the guided tour “Night whispers in KG I – A building tells Freiburg history.” The collections of coins and moulages - casts taken by doctors of diseased parts of the body - will also be open for inspection. Musical entertainment will be provided by the groups Bächlechor to Go and Laut & Lyrik.
