Discussion on the development of the new mission statement, keynote speech by alumna Pinelopi Koujianou Goldberg, awarding of the University Medal

On Tuesday, 23 May 2023, from 10 a.m., interested parties can follow the Dies universitatis of the Albert Ludwig University live via Zoom. Registration is not required.

As part of the Dies universitatis, the Rector honours Freiburg personalities who have rendered outstanding services to the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg. This year's university medallist will be presented at the event.

This year's keynote speech will be given by Prof. Dr. Pinelopi Koujianou Goldberg, alumna of the University of Freiburg, Professor of Economics at Yale University and former Chief Economist of the World Bank.

In addition, participants will take a look at the development process of the new mission statement: Prof. Dr. Sylvia Paletschek, Prorector for University Culture, will answer questions in the interview format "Three Questions for...". In a round-table discussion, Isabel Althof (student), Prof. Dr. Anne-Kathrin Classen (university lecturer, Centre for Biological Signalling Studies), Astrid Steindorf (Administration and Technology, Technical Assistant Biology, Albers Working Group) and Clemens Wagner (doctoral student, Theological Seminary) talk about their involvement in the development of the mission statement. In a subsequent discussion, questions can be asked in a live chat.
