The meaning of direct contact in medicine
Symposium on basic questions about being human in medicine on June 8-9, 2018
Freiburg, May 30, 2018
Online counsel, video office hours, health apps: The world of medicine is increasingly using technological forms of communication. Direct contact among doctors, nurses and patients is threatening to disappear altogether. During the “5th Freiburg Symposium on Basic Questions about Being Human in Medicine,” speakers from the fields of medicine, nursing, sociology, philosophy and theology will reflect on what happens when people encounter one another face to face – and how enriching it is.
