With a new version of the classic game Jenga, children can learn about the conductivity of various materials

Freiburg, May 27, 2019

Combining education and fun is the goal of many games manufacturers. And the Freiburg Materials Research Center has succeeded in creating a game that does just this. Stefanie Kuhl has devised a new version of the classic Jenga. What is different about it, is that the individual blocks consist of wood, plastic or metal. The playing board is also equipped with light diodes, to help children and teenagers learn about the conductivity of various materials. The aim is to build the tower as high as possible and at the same time ensure that the structure conducts electricity right to the top. Children tested the game for World Play Day, 28th May.
