The key to bygone cultures
Conference entitled “Image science in archaeology” from June 28-30, 2018
Freiburg, Jun 19, 2018
The analysis and interpretation of images have a high status and a long tradition in archeology: Images can be seen on a large part of the material remains of past cultures. Thus, the objects contribute to the understanding of these cultures. The conference will address the questions of how researchers use the methods and theories from the field of image science for archeology, and to what extent both areas of science can benefit from each other.
