Science World Cup Jam “Header”
Soccer robots in the name of science – lecture, interaction and goal-shooting contest on July 5, 2018
Freiburg, Jun 25, 2018
It's about precision and tactics, perseverance and goals - and commitment that is in no way inferior to the ambitions of the players in the World Cup: Soccer robots will compete against each other in various leagues and during RoboCup world. Above all, however, the machine kickers are serving science. How? Joschka Bödecker, junior professor for neurorobotics at the University of Freiburg, will offer an explanation during a science-jam evening that provides a new look at the connection between neuroscience, technology, medicine and sports.
