Rehab with Brainwaves
10th Café Scientifique on March 15, 2017 for Brain Awareness Week 2017 at the University of Freiburg library
Freiburg, Mar 10, 2017
Can interfaces between the human brain and a computer help people train their cognitive functions after a stroke? They decode and measure brain signals in real time. Up to now they have helped paralyzed patients use devices or computers. In his presentation computer scientist Dr. Michael Tangermann at the University of Freiburg introduces the latest applications for interfaces. During the day visitors will have the opportunity to test Tangermann's system themselves. A discussion about the chances and risks of this technology will follow his talk.
