Literature. Market. Business.
Freiburg, Jul 04, 2017
Before readers can even hold a book in their hands, it has to run through various channels in the literary industry: what kind of power do these channels have over what actually appears on the book market? How has the market changed in the era of globalization and economizing? How do books become bestsellers? And how does the changing literary industry effect literary writing styles and topics? These questions and more will be discussed by insiders in the literary industry: translator and moderator Claudia Dathe will engage in a discussion with the Freiburg author Annette Pehnt, Tom Bresemann, lyricists and co-founder of the young literary house Lettrétage in Berlin and the literary critic and editor at Hanser Florian Kessler.
