Last-minute tips and assistance in selecting a course of study

What to do after high school? Attend university? Certainly. But what to study? Many high school graduates are starting to think about studying in the fall of 2018. Given the large number of possibilities and courses of study, it is hard for many of them to select a specific degree program – especially as the July 15, 2018 application deadline approaches. For those who are still undecided, the Central Academic Advising Office (ZSB) at the University of Freiburg’s Student Service Center is offering multiple resources to help students decide which course of study to take.

During the event “Emergency Kit for Last-Minute Thinkers and Indecisive Decision-Makers,” high school graduates will receive tips and assistance while researching the most suitable course of study for them. Mondays starting at 10:30 am and Wednesdays starting at 2:30 pm, students can attend a one-hour informational lecture and get their questions answered. For those who would like to study at the University of Freiburg, the ZSB team will present the various University of Freiburg degree programs in the information event "From school to university" on July 2, 2018 and will explain how the university application process works. After the lecture, the student advisors will be available for questions. The event will take place from 6 pm to 8 pm in the lecture hall 3044 in the Collegiate Building III, Platz der Universität 3. Registration is not required.

If students require additional advice, the ZSB is offering open office hours Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 12 pm and on Tuesdays from 2pm to 4 pm in the Student Service Center, Sedanstraße 6. Additional office hours for last-minute questions are available on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 9 am to 12 pm.
