On 23 October 2023, the Vice Rector for Research and Innovation held a panel discussion about the risks and opportunities of using AI tools in research. The Vice Rector for Research and Innovation Prof. Dr. Stefan Rensing; AI regulatory expert Prof. Dr. Silja Vöneky; Professor of Machine Learning Prof. Dr. Frank Hutter; an expert on medical bioinformatics and systems medicine, Prof. Dr. Melanie Börries; and a doctoral candidate of hybrid quantum algorithms, Andreas Woitzik, took part in the discussion. The panel was moderated by Colloquium politicum Director Dr. Arndt Michael.
