The start to the academic year 2017/2018

The University of Freiburg will start the academic year 2017/2018 with an ecumenical church service and an opening ceremony. Prof. Dr. Susanne Baer, judge in First Senate of the Federal Constitutional Court will give a speech entitled “Appreciating the obvious – the rule of law, democracy, the university and its future.” Additional agenda items include a greeting from the rector Prof. Dr. Hans-Jochen Schiewer, honoring student involvement and an awards ceremony celebrating young talent.
