The loss of biodiversity

The second event in the series “Freiburg Environmental Talks” will highlight the loss of biodiversity in two lectures: The ecologist Prof. Dr. Alexandra-Maria Klein from the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Freiburg will presents the current expertise about the extent and cause of insect killing. Wolfgang Fiedler from the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology in Radolfzell will examine the situation of bird species in Europe and the consequences of insect decline on entire ecosystems. The objective of the series is to present up-to-date information on the topic of environmental protection, climate protection and climate change in an easily understandable manner and to strengthen the discourse of urban society, science and local politics on environmental issues.
