Informing visitors with a modern approach
Freiburg, Sep 12, 2017
Whether it's a display, adventure path, guided tour or an app: It's not easy to design information about the peculiarities of natural and cultural heritage in a visitor-friendly format. The "Heritage Interpretation", developed for U.S. national parks and now used worldwide, provides a new approach – as currently seen in the Black Forest as well. The University of Freiburg event serves to familiarize visitors with the method and provide an exchange amongst the experts in politics, culture, tourism and nature conservation. Using regional examples, the event shows how natural phenomena as well as historical and contemporary contexts can be made clear for visitors and how they can be experienced using all five senses.
